Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina

Pick Grade:

"Jeffery's pro day made this pick a lot easier. The Browns get a weapon with tremendous upside here and now have 3 high end starters in the first 2 rounds."

Analysis after the jump

You have to love what ocruz1 has done for the Browns. I'm not sure if every player he's picked fits exactly into an open position for the Browns, but he's added some top talent with his first three picks. I'm with him on Jeffery; he had a great camp, and while he isn't going to instantly shoot up draft boards, I can imagine that Jeffery is starting to take things seriously.

Jeffery's a big target who at his best could be a stellar pick up in the second round. If he plays like he did last year, he could be someone who makes the Browns forget all about Justin Blackmon. At worst, he'd probably be a situational player who the Browns only used a second rounder on. You've gotta spend money to make money and Jeffery is certainly a risk, no matter which way you slice it.
