2012 NFL Mock Draft: Mel Kiper And The Rams' Sixth Pick

The Hair has weighed in on the St. Louis Rams' sixth pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. In his most recent mock draft, Mel Kiper sees a twisty path that many Rams fans would agree with, despite the team's recent moves in free agency.

And who does Mel Kiper give the Rams in his latest mock draft?

Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU

St. Louis may not be done. I can see them moving down again, as they have multiple needs and may not be in love with the value of this pick if Blackmon isn't on the board. However, if they remain at this spot, Claiborne makes a lot of sense. The Rams' secondary was a disaster last year, and they have a chance to take the top cornerback in the draft if things break this way. I can also see them going for either offensive line or defensive tackle help at this spot.

Many Rams fans would love to see Claiborne fall to the team with the sixth pick, even after signing Cortland Finnegan to a $50 million deal. Together, the two would combine with Bradley Fletcher and Jerome Murphy to give the Rams one of the most loaded secondaries in the NFL.

Kiper has the Browns taking Blackmon with the fourth pick in his mock draft. That looks like a distinct possibility of the Browns really do plan on leaving Colt McCoy as their starter for another year. Many think they have to draft Tannehill with that pick.
