St. Louis Rams Free Agency: Jason Jones, Tracy Porter And Robert Meachem On The Rams' Radar

Les Snead is not sitting on his hands with free agency under way on Tuesday afternoon. In addition to a visit with Cortland Finnegan and interest in Carlos Rogers, the Rams also have interest in cornerback Tracy Porter and defensive tackle Jason Jones, according to Jim Thomas of the Post Dispatch.

Jones will visit the Rams on Tuesday night. Jones should be a top priority for the Rams, who cut their top two defensive tackles from last season, Fred Robbins and Justin Bannan. Jones has a nice ability to generate pressure from the middle of the defensive line. He would be a great fit with Chris Long and Robert Quinn on the outside.

Porter is a decent enough cornerback who knows Gregg Williams from their bounty hunting days together in New Orleans. Porter, just 25, would be a decent consolation prize if the Rams miss out on Cortland Finnegan.

Another name on the Rams' radar is Saints WR Robert Meachem. The team is trying to bring him in for a visit, but he's headed to Buffalo for a first stop. Meachem had a 68 percent catch rate with the Saints last year. A former first-round pick, Meachem has the size and after-catch ability the Rams could use.
