The Rams are narrowing the field of candidates and seem to be close to hiring a GM according to Jim Thomas. Thomas also said that today the Rams are interviewing Tom Gamble from the 49ers which is likely the last interview. The Rams will probably have a new GM in place by next week, essentially completely the new regime.
Mike Sando took a look at who the upcoming FAs are for St. Louis. There are 20 players that are unrestricted free agents including Brandon Lloyd. There are only two restricted free agents, CJ Ah You and Danny Amendola.
Redskins open to trade with Rams
In case you didn't see this yesterday from 3k, Jim Hasslet reportedly told one of the community members from the Redskins site, Hogs Haven, that the Redskins are interested in trading up for the number two pick and have already talked with Jeff Fisher about it. Hasslat also said that the Skins are interested in signing Matt Flynn, but they will make a run at getting Peyton Manning.
But will the Rams want too much?
According to Dan Pompei of the National Football Post the Rams will be looking for "very much" to trade down in the draft. Don't be surprised if the Rams stay put at number 2 come draft time.
That's all for today. Have a good one and GO RAMS!
