2012 NFL Draft: TST Community Round 1, Pick 17

New, comments

Whiteout picked Jonathan Martin for the Jets this morning. In an effort to speed up the process, Ramsfanindia, fearless leader of the Bengals, selects:

Lamar Miller, RB, Miami

Pick Grade:

"The Bengals need a new RB and Miller is a fast and explosive one who can spice up the offense. At this pick, both Richardson and DeCastro are gone, and nobody else requires a selection here except maybe Dre Kirkpatrick, who the Bengals do not need. Lamar Miller is the best option on the board."

Analysis after the jump!

This is a tough call. I personally think the Bengals could use a young corner, given that most of their corners are approaching 30 (or older). I think Dre would be a good value pick here, but I can certainly understand why the team would look for a running back.

The question I have here is whether or not Lamar Miller is a good pick for the middle of the 1st round. There is quite a chance he could go this high, but given the fact that RB's seem to have dropped off a cliff in terms of value, it's a little sketchy.

Check out the full schedule or take a glance at the big board (thanks db!) to get even more drafty goodness.
