2012 NFL Draft: TST Community Round 1, Pick 16

I snagged Luke Kuechly with the 15th pick for the linebacker-less Iggles. Whiteout has the Jets pick:

Nyj_medium

Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford

Pick Grade:

A-

"With no inside linebackers worthy of this pick, this became a no-brainer. At 16, I have the Jets taking Stanford tackle Jonathan Martin. Martin will step in from day one and take Wayne Hunter's job at right tackle. Along with D'Brickashaw Ferguson and Nick Mangold, the Jets have a solid core in place for the offensive line to be a strength for years to come."

Analysis after the jump!

I have two things to say about this pick. On one hand, I love it as a way to create a great offensive line; Martin would be great on the right side. On the other, it ignores some of the issues the Jets have on their roster (Mark Sanchez, or the carcinogenic entity known as Santonio Holmes). Of course, there isn't much they can do about it as Whiteout said. Do they go for someone like Kendall Wright or Nick Perry? Who knows.

The only guarantee we have is that if the Jets put their best foot forward, they are going to win the Superbowl.

Oh, puns. Check out the full schedule or take a glance at the big board (thanks db!) to get even more drafty goodness.
