The St. Louis Rams finished the 2012 season with a 7-8-1 record. It was beyond the expectations held by many, but somehow felt disappointing considering how many close games the Rams lost and how many others could have swung were it not for a few penalties, missed turnovers, etc. Nevertheless, the team proved under head coach Jeff Fisher that it could compete with any team in the league, which makes the 2013 schedule seem that much less intimidating.
Next year, the Rams, and the other NFC West teams, will face the AFC South and the NFC South, that means a Jeff Fisher rematch with the Titans and a Les Snead rematch with the Falcons. The Rams will play host to the Titans, while taking on the Falcons in Atlanta.
Here's the rest of the home and away schedule as released by the NFL on Monday morning:
Home: Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans
Away: Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts
St. Louis gets the Bears and the Cowboys by virtue of each team finishing third in their respective divisions. Of the teams on the schedule next year, only five made it to the playoffs this year.
