2013 NFL Draft: Bowl Game Open Thread

Bowl season is officially a go. Five games, plenty of day one and day two prospects, and what should be some competitive contests. If you're not down, you never will be.

US PRESSWIRE

The prospect tracker has been updated through today, so whatever time you tune into college football today, make sure you've got a copy open. And here's your watch notes for the day courtesy of Mocking the Draft.

Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl

Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl; Ft. Worth, TX

Rice vs. Air Force (ESPN, 11:45pm)

Um. Ok. Well, this will be a football game. There will be 22 men on the field at all times, unless one teams screws the pooch. Uh, sometimes they'll be a runnin', and other times they'll be a gunnin'.

It's Rice-Air Force. Why are you still reading this? Scroll down. Go on.

West Virginia vs. Syracuse (ESPN, 3:15pm)

This is more like it. You've got the WVU offense with WRs Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin along with the potential #1 overall pick QB Geno Smith. For Syracuse, QB Ryan Nassib, SS Shamarko Thomas and OT Justin Pugh could all be gone on day 2. Rams fans will want a look at Cuse OLB Marquis Spruill...when he's in. He recently got arrested for scuffling with the cops along with a teammate, so he'll likely sit until the second half.

Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl

Navy vs. Arizona St. (ESPN2, 4:00pm)

Well, the Sun Devils have a couple players to track. Other than that...look, just keep it on ESPN today.

Texas vs. Oregon St. (ESPN, 6:45pm)

Must see TV here, Rams fans. SS Kenny Vaccaro, WR Mike Davis, G Mason Walters (those three being from Texas) and OSU WR Markus Wheaton -- all could be in play for the Rams. On top of that, you've got a growing Oregon State program (QB Sean Mannion looks like the truth) against a sagging UT team (in what could be Mack Brown's last game as head coach).

TCU vs. Michigan St. (ESPN, 10:15pm)

You know it's a good bowl day when the night game is stacked with prospects too. Michigan State's defense has plenty of NFL offerings. While TCU doesn't match the Spartans on the prospect list, they should be able to hang on the field even without QB Casey Pachall.
