I'll be watching Josh Freeman as he tries to recover from a rough outing last week. His four interception and a fumble earned him some time on the bench. Can he recover his mid-season form? Rookie running back Doug Martin seems to have hit a rookie wall. After his 251 yard outing against the Oakland Raiders earlier this year, expectations began to run high. He hasn't broken the 100 yard rushing barrier the last couple weeks, so this could prove to be a respite for a Rams defense that had Adrian Peterson last weekend, and has Marshawn Lynch next week in Seattle.
The Rams' secondary will face one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL in Tampa. Mega-dollar free agent Vincent Jackson is paying dividends (62 recs, 1226 yards and 8 TDs), while Mike Williams (50 rec, 799 yards and 7 TDs) is quietly having a successful year.
It will be interesting to see a healthy Danny Amendola on the field with Chris Givens. Sam Bradford could have a stellar day if his offensive line decides to show up. I don't look for Steven Jackson to have a big day against the NFL's top ranked rush defense. I think the Rams could be passing the ball all day long.
Enjoy the game and Merry Christmas to you all!
