St. Louis Rams injury report: Scott Wells, Robert Quinn return to practice; Danny Amendola still iffy

Friday's injury report brought good news ahead of this week's game against the 49ers.

Center Scott Wells and defensive end Robert Quinn returned to practice on Friday. The two had missed all week. Wells is expected to start. Quinn, who had been dealing with a concussion, will be good to go as long as he gets through the day symptom free on Saturday.

As noted by Brian Scottenheimer on Thursday, Wells' absence from practice was just to get the veteran some rest. His Week 12 start at Arizona was his first action since leaving in Week 1 and landing on injured reserve with the designation to return.

Assistant head coach Dave McGinnis was optimistic that Quinn would get back on the field this week. Concussions are serious business in the NFL these days, so the second-year pass rusher will have be symptom free before playing again.

The biggest question mark is Danny Amendola. Schottenheimer described the receiver as a game-time decision again this week. Amendola did not practice, but he was also without the walking boot he's been carrying around all week.
