More than a few New York Jets players were happy to see offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer leave town after he was fired last season. Few were more pleased than Santonio Holmes who was constantly unhappy with his role in the offense. Holmes took a shot at Schotty, who is now coordinating for the St. Louis Rams, after the Rams laid an egg against the Jets on Sunday.
Good job today #NYJETS for beating up on Shotty n the #RAMS

Rams fans were questioning Schottenheimer after Sunday's loss in which the Rams blew a first quarter lead and generally let the game get away from them, just a week after playing a tough 49ers defense to a draw on the road.
St. Louis decided against running Steven Jackson, despite the veteran running back rushing for more than 6 yards per carry in limited work. Last week against San Francisco Jackson handled almost all of the rushing duties, topping 100 yards for the first time this season.
Holmes is on injured reserve, where is role is especially limited.
