The good folks at aolsportingnews.com decided to do a mid-season poll on the dirtiest players in the league. 103 players from 27 teams were asked to participate in this poll. As expected, Ndamukong Suh and former Ram Richie Incognito were the first two players on the list.
Then at #3 the Rams corner back Cortland Finnegan was named. Wow, you couldn't imagine my shock. Finnegan has been a godsend to the St. Louis Rams, so it's shocking that a great player of his pedigree would get subjected to this type of injustice.
Here is a quote from this article,
"Cortland Finnegan. That guy will grab you everywhere … in the facemask, everything. He's just nasty." —NFC offensive player
Really? There must be two Finnegan's in the league... I never lined up against him, but I refuse to think that he would go through such measures to stop an opponent.
Obviously, this unnamed player just doesn't like Finnegan. I don't know who said the above quote, but I think we all have an idea.
Honestly, it must be hard being one of the best, while players take cheap shots at you, and even throw footballs.
Speaking of cheap shots.
That was just despicable. Cortland just tried to play defense, and Johnson just attacks and tries to beat the harmless Cortland to a pulp. Luckily, the fight gets broken up by people who obviously respect Cortland as much as we do.
Also, how can a player with the name Cortland possibly be a bad seed? Does this guy look like a player who should be on the same level as Suh?
Don't he and two of my friends look happy? Anyway, for those who don't believe that Cortland is an upstanding citizen, I have some real evidence for you.
Authors note: If anyone can find the whole video of this I would love to see it.
