The St. Louis Rams offense doesn't exactly inspire much confidence among fantasy football general managers. Nevertheless, there is one player that could be very useful to your roster this week. Wide receiver Danny Amendola is on pace for a big season.
Sam Bradford's most reliable target, Amendola is second in the league with 31 receptions. Averaging 11.3 yards per catch and more than 87 yards per game, he is also on pace for some 1,400 yards.
He has another favorable matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Check out what Pro Football Focus had to say:
When the Cardinals go into a nickel defense, typically it is William Gay who covers the slot receiver ... Over the season, Gay has allowed 152 yards while lining up as a slot corner, which is the second most in the league.
Instead of going up against the receiver with the fifth most slot receiving yards in Bess, he is going up against the one with the third most slot receiving yards in Danny Amendola. When Amendola lines up in the slot for a pass play, he is the target 32.0% of the time which is the second highest. He then catches those targets 77.4% of the time, which is the highest for receivers with at least 15 slot targets. It will be no surprise when Amendola sees eight or more targets in this game, as he has in every game this season.
You got that? Start Danny Amendola.
