St. Louis Rams injury report: Quintin Mikell practices, Danny Amendola sits

There were not many surprises on the Wednesday injury report for the St. Louis Rams.

The St. Louis Rams are getting at least one of their injured players back from last week's bloody tilt with the Arizona Cardinals. Safety Quintin Mikell was back at practice on Wednesday and expects to play this week after suffering a concussion in that game.

Danny Amendola sat out practice, to the surprise of no one. The team's leading receiver had a bizarre twist on a separated clavicle in that game. He could be out a month or even two, but the Rams are keeping a pretty tight lid on his status.

Fullback Brit Miller and linebacker Mario Haggan also missed practice on Wednesday. Losing both of those players hurts the depth chart, especially Miller who gives the offense an extra blocker.

Eugene Sims, Matt Conrath and William Hayes were limited participants in practice. Sims missed last week's game with a concussion. His return to the lineup bolsters depth up front. The Rams have used Sims some on the inside at tackle, and he also beefs up the run support on the edges. Conrath, an undrafted rookie, has yet to play this season. Even if he is healthy and ready to go this week, he still might sit until the Rams can get him some more reps.
