Josh McDaniels returned to the New England Patriots earlier this month, just in time for their AFC Divisional game against the Denver Broncos, the team he coached into oblivion from 2009 to 2010. And how is the former St. Louis Rams' offensive coordinator faring in his return home? Just fine, according to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.
At his press conference today Belichick was asked about McDaniels' transition back into life as a Patriot.
Josh has integrated very smoothly into everything that we do because he knows most everybody here, he knows mostly all the players, he knows the offense. His input is greatly appreciated whether it's tips for me or tips for other players. He sees some things and is very helpful. It's been good.
I'm sure all is well and McDaniels is more than happy to be ensconced in the relative safety of the Patriots organization. And of course his transition is going well, he has Tom Brady, one of those quarterbacks capable of making any coach look good, including McDaniels.
