It's baaaack. NFL football returns tonight with what everyone assumes will be a high scoring duel between the Green Bay Packers and the New Orleans Saints. The rest of the NFL action continues Sunday and Monday night.
I know that the lockout did not actually eat into any of the regular season. The only casualty was the glorified scrimmage for the Hall of Fame Game. Still, it feels like the offseason was longer, more tedious than usual. Well, it was definitely more tedious, but it was not any longer.
Hopefully you got your fantasy lineups set in enough time for tonight's game. Both of these teams are exactly the kind that frustrate fantasy owners by distributing points among players, the paradox of a good, diverse offense and fantasy football. Be sure to check out the inaugural post from Fantasy Mike, our new fantasy football correspondent.
Of course, if the Packers and Saints don't float your boat, there's college action tonight too. Oklahoma State plays Arizona. 3k and buckeyefan55 joined forces for a look at college action this week. And of course, SBNation is home to the top college football writer and site in the country with Spencer Hall over at Every Day Should Be Saturday.
Welcome back football. We were lost without you.
Oh, by the way, I love rivalries and talking, um, crap with opposing fans, but please, please remember to be civil, even if provoked, take the bloody high road.
