Danny Amendola Status Update: Does Not Practice Friday

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola did not practice today. Amendola took to the practice field for the first time on Wednesday doing individual work and going through some team drills yesterday, for the first time since dislocating his elbow in week one. Even with that increased workload, the Rams cautioned everyone about his availability for this week's game with the bye set for the next week.

Amendola is listed as questionable for this week's game against the Washington RedskinsJim Thomas from the Post-Dispatch notes that even with that official designation, he is unlikely to play.

There was some confusion yesterday as to Amendola's status. Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo made it pretty clear that the team will use their week five bye to let him regain his full strength, or as close to it as possible, before reassessing the situation for week six.

Sam Bradford confessed that some of his struggles were the result of looking for open players downfield and missing the check downs. The receivers' issues with drops have been well noted too. Amendola's catch rate last year was one of the league's best. Think Bradford misses his top underneath option at all?
