Steven Jackson practiced with the St. Louis Rams today. It was the first time Jackson has gone through a Wednesday practice with the team since injuring his thigh in the season opener. Jackson played in a limited capacity last week against the Baltimore Ravens, and this signals that he is closer to full speed.
Jackson was still listed as limited. The issue with his quad is that it was not allowing him to open up in the field. He was limited to shorter runs last week relying on his power. Had the Rams been able to get the ball to the goal-line, Jackson would likely have taken a carry or two.
Stay tuned for reports from tomorrow and Friday's practice to get a handle on Jackson's official status.
Cadillac Williams was also practicing nearer to full strength today. A hamstring injury limited Williams last week, but he still managed to play against the Ravens. He was listed as limited for today's practice as well.
