Billed as a battle of the bruised and battered, the St. Louis Rams prime time game against the New York Giants features a veritable all-pro list of injuries. In St. Louis, all eyes are focused on RB Steven Jackson, whose status will likely be decided on Monday. The Giants will likely have a couple of their defensive stalwarts back this week, and their top receiver is optimistic about playing this week too.
According to Mike Garafolo of the Star-Ledger, defensive linemen Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck are "looking good" to be back in action against the Rams. Both did individual work in practice today, and Tuck practiced in full. Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks did not practice today, sitting out individual work as well. Nicks did say that he will play, despite a knee injury sustained last week in their loss to the Redskins.
The Rams offensive line will have to be razor sharp this week if Tuck and Osi are back in the fold, much sharper than last week.
