Sam Bradford Injury: Bradford Resumes Throwing Today

Sam Bradford threw like his usual self in practice today, shaking off a bruised finger suffered in the St. Louis Rams 31-13 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. The practice results erased any doubt about whether or he would play on Monday night this week. The Rams now hope to overcome the other injuries from last week that have depleted the roster of a team with playoff expectations.

First, Bradford. Jim Thomas of the Post-Dispatch Tweeted that Bradford was "throwing well" in the Rams short practice today. Hopefully, his receivers were catching with equal aplomb after a six drop outing last week against one of the league's toughest secondaries.

Other notes

  • Michael Hoomanawanui returned to practice today. He should play this week, giving the Rams, finally, their much-talked about 2-TE offensive sets.
  • C.J. Ah You, Danny Amendola, Ron Bartell, Bradley Fletcher, Steven Jackson, and Jason Smith missed practice today. Fletcher and Smith are the only two with any serious likelihood of playing this week.
  • Rookie Greg Salas will play in place of Danny Amendola.
  • Giants WR Hakeem Nicks is looking more likely to play Monday night too.
