Sadly, the most notable pictures from the St. Louis Rams 31-13 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles are of the injuries. Danny Amendola's dislocated elbow was a particularly gruesome sight. There are a few other shots well worth your time, so take a moment to flip through the photo gallery here.

A few other thoughts from the game...

  • Injuries - Steve Spagnuolo's presser today carries extra significance. Sam Bradford and the rest of the injured Rams will undergo further evaluation today, shedding more light on to their availability for the weeks ahead.
  • Lance Kendricks - The Rams' second-round pick looked very much like a rookie, dropping a key pass. The guy was known for his hands, among other skills, and showed why he can and will be a valuable player through the preseason. Expect him to improve his game next week. He was targeted five time; Billy Bajema was targeted three times. The tight ends will be key, especially with Amendola out.
  • First game jitters - Kendricks wasn't the only player who was not ready for this game; the whole team looked like they could have used more time to get ready. I understand that. However, I am concerned when I head the coaches talking about poor execution, poor fundamentals. How often did that same excuse get attached to the Rams losses last year? At some point, it has to stop. At some point, a team has to be able to fix those things as the game goes along. At some point, the coaches have to be held accountable for continued poor execution. For me, it's absolutely the most important thing to watch next week.
