The St. Louis Rams still have one big move to make in free agency, adding a backup running back. They have a number of options available to them, including Ronnie Brown. According to Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network, the Rams have the "most interest" of any team in Brown.
He goes on to say that the Rams are "doing the most homework" on Brown. Note that this info does not indicate that Brown is their preferred option, just that the Rams are Browns most serious suitor. McDaniels' old boss in New England, Mr. Sweatpants himself, carried a torch for Brown. Devaney and Co. would be doing their due diligence to make sure Brown can still contribute.
Of course, Brown is one of several options, including Jason Snelling. We're hearing that the front office moved on from Snelling, who can't seem to make a decision. The Falcons backup visited the Giants today. Other potential targets include Jerome Harrison, Steve Slaton (who would require a trade) and Jerious Norwood (who would require another running back).
