Free agent rumors are surfacing with some very curious information about the St. Louis Rams. According to a couple sources, unconfirmed, Atlanta Falcons guard Harvey Dahl is headed to the St. Louis Rams. Another rumor from the bowels of talk radio, says that the Rams have signed Falcons running back Jason Snelling

The word on Dahl comes from the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Atlanta's largest dead tree.

#Falcons are hoping to retain LG Justin Blalock. Looks like RG Harvey Dahl could be headed to St. Louis.

The have been several reports of the Rams being interested in free agent guards, including on earlier this week, reported by the PD, that they were interested in Packers G Daryn Colledge. Arizona signed him.

Talk of the Rams signing Jason Snelling comes from Jason Miller on Sirius/XN NFL talk radio. There's no telling if he's on to something or not. It's been reported that that Snelling was the Rams top priority. However, as someone who would know told me this morning: "assume what you hear is wrong more often than it's right."

Agents and teams never use the media to leak false reports...never.

MORE: As Brick Top mentioned in the post below, there's a rumor about Brian Waters floating around out there too, but it doesn't have the same level of sources, talking about it. Waters is an older, 34, pass blocking specialist. Dahl would be a big addition for the Rams; he's one of the five best free agent guards available. A good blocker, he's not a mauler at all. If the Dahl rumors prove to be true, the Rams really are committed to a line that excels in pass blocking, with pure power a secondary concern. It's hard to see the Rams tying up this much money on their offensive line, having inked John Greco to a third-round RFA tender. But I certainly wouldn't complain if they do make it a priority.

Snelling could be a real steal. I would really like that signing.

UPDATE: Now, Jim Thomas from the Post-Dispatch says the Rams are "in the mix" for Dahl.
