It's no secret around here that I'm a big fan of Danny Amendola. I'm not exactly sure why other than the fact that no matter what, he gives his all. Not 80% or even 100%... but 110%.
I'll also be the first to admit that he is not the answer for the Rams at WR. Clearly, Danny is a talented situational or role player from the slot, but by no means a solid #1 "stretch the field" type of guy.
When the Rams first grabbed him off the Eagles practice squad i'll admit I had my doubts. The kid is talented, has great hands but his size left me wondering. However, the size of his body is no where near the size of his heart and the size of his will to win.
Even though the Rams failed to make the playoffs, I don't think any of us could have asked any more from Danny. I'm pretty sure we can all agree on that.
After the jump we'll look back at the year that was in 2010 for Danny Amendola, his stats as well as some highlights... Enjoy!

There's the top 10... is Danny a poor man's Wes Welker? The stats certainly say so. Also of note, Wes Welker had alot more help than Danny Did, particularly at the TE position.
2010 Highlight 1: Danny's Punt Return TD versus Vikings (pre-season)
Yea, yea, it's pre-season and all that... still sweet to watch!
2010 Highlight 2: Danny's First Touchdown Reception of 2010
Danny showed tremendous recognition and found the dead spot in this TD reception. The pass was perfectly timed by Sam Bradford.
2010 Highlight 3: Danny's Amazing Reception against the Seahawks
Danny showed tremendous ability to get space against a defender, as well as his sticky hands in this amazing reception.
2010 Highlight 4: Danny's Toughness
Danny gets body slammed here and bounces back up to have words with Rondo McClain.
Danny Amendola, as good a season as he had in 2010, will be fighting for a roster spot in 2011. The Rams drafted some receiving talent and expect to get back Avery and Clayton from injured reserve.
It will certainly be an interesting battle to watch when and IF training camp and pre-season games happen.
Hope everyone has been well, and I hope to post more in the coming weeks/months.
