The St. Louis Rams are one of several teams that have scheduled a private visit with Cal DE Cam Jordan. No word on when that visited is scheduled for. Jordan figures to be drafted somewhere within the top 15 picks of the 2011 NFL Draft as one of several ends worthy of a pick in the first half of the opening frame.
Both 3-4 and 4-3 teams will be looking at Jordan. At Cal, he played all along the defensive line, and looks like an end who can slide into the three-technique spot in a 4-3 defense for a head coach like Spagnuolo who has been known to use four ends on certain passing downs.
Jordan joins Missouri's Aldon Smith as the second defensive end worthy of a first round pick scheduled to have private time with the Rams. Don't read too much into the visit. Yesterday, I looked at the Rams' list of pre-draft visits and workouts last year. Of course, it's a little different trying to read the tea leaves with the 14th pick.
Here's the Cameron Jordan scouting report from MtD.
