The 2011 NFL Draft is less than a week away, less than a week away from turning all the conventional wisdom, the mock drafts, the character concerns, medical rumors, etc. on its head. Another big ticket item on the agenda next week is the expected ruling of Judge Susan Nelson, who is expected to grant the injunction lifting the lockout. Don't get too excited; her order will most likely not take effect until the NFL appeals the ruling to the 8th circuit court, that could take anywhere from two weeks to two months.
But that's then, and this is now, in case you weren't sure of it. I'm going to be stuffing my face from morning until at least 5 p.m. tomorrow, but in between, while the food digests, we'll have some chatter for you, something else to chew on while you sip on those aperitifs.
There's some NBA action happening tonight, in case you want to see what a spot completely lacking refereeing looks like. There's always baseball if you get really bored. Maybe you're lucky enough to have Cinemax and can catch the late movie...wink.
