Mid-week Turf Show Radio with special guest Ohio S Donovan Fletcher

Tsr_logo_medium

For the next two Wednesdays leading up to the draft, Van and I are going to double up the Turf Show Radio efforts.  So this Wednesday, at 9:30pm ET, we'll be hitting the airwaves for an amazingly amazing episode of TSR.  Helping us do so this week is Ohio S Donovan Fletcher, brother of current Rams CB Bradley Fletcher.

Van brought the younger Fletcher's name up Saturday, noting both the family ties as well as the fact that the Rams could use some help at FS in the wake of O.J. Atogwe's departure.  Given Bradley's TST moniker of BFB, perhaps Donovan is destined to become DFD.

Football Gameplan recently gave Donovan a 5th/6th round grade in this video, listing his strengths as football IQ, ball skills, leadership, a playmaker and having good size (the segment on Fletcher begins at the 3:21 mark):

Fans of the Ohio State University could well remember #29 from his two trips to Ohio Stadium.  Most recently, he recorded nine tackles and two interceptions last season against an Ohio St. team that was ranked #2 in the country.  Back in 2008, the Bobcats gave the Buckeyes a serious scare, leading 14-6 deep in the third quarter.  Fletcher, just a sophomore at the time, contributed throughout, including getting a hand on Maurice Wells (not Beanie) on this 4th &1 play in the 2nd quarter:

So join us on Wednesday for a special mid-week edition of Turf Show Radio.  The call in number is (724) 444-7444, and the show ID is 97249.  If you missed Saturday's episode, I'll have a recap up later today.  And for those of you who called in on Saturday, I would ask a favor of you.  Explain how the call-in process works for those who didn't make it on last weekend's show.  I know it's not the toughest system to crack, but having the perspective from the people who have gone through it would be helpful moving ahead.
