The mediation session between the NFL and the NFLPA has wrapped up for the day, after going about two hours longer than scheduled. Lips are sealed by the mediation process, but early reports are positive. Don Banks from Sports Illustrated reported that one source told him the talks went "better than expected."
Expectations were already pretty low, so it's not exactly a guarantee that things will be fixed by midnight tomorrow. What could happen, what's most likely to happen if talks really are going well is that both sides will agree to extend the deadline.
Talks are scheduled to resume tomorrow, which is hereby known as D-Day. The owners went directly from the talks to a meeting in nearby suburban Virginia.
