2011 NFL Combine: Working and grinding with Sam Acho

Texas DE Sam Ancho just walked off the podium after a very impressive press conference. He mentioned that he completed his marketing degree in December, surely he had an emphasis in PR because the guy can flat out answer questions.

But he can do more than take QnA, as you would expect from a first round pick. Acho laid out the most important part of his game, simply, "get to the quarterback, whatever it takes." He also confirmed that he met with the St. Louis Rams, one of four teams he's met with so far.

Naturally, he fielded plenty of questions about whether or not he could make the switch to OLB in a 3-4, something he expressed confidence and noted that he was close friends with Washington OLB Brian Orakpo. He draws influence from a number of places though, including 4-3 ends like Julius Peppers and Osi Umenyiora. He watches those players and finds way to improve and add to his game.

It's little wonder why the Rams would have some interest in Acho, besides his pass rushing ability, he cited hard work and his faith as the most important factors advancing his career. He even called him self blue collar.

"I consider myself a self-starter."
