As expected, the St. Louis Rams will be without starting quarterback Sam Bradford today. He was among the Rams' inactives for this game as he deals with the lingering effects of a re-aggravated high ankle sprain. A.J. Feeley will start in place of Bradford against the San Francisco 49ers.
The news comes as no surprise. Bradford hardly practiced this week, and he was seen limping onto the team's bus as it loaded to make the trip from the team hotel to Candlestick Park. This is the third game this year Bradford has missed.
Among the Rams' other inactives: S Darian Stewart, RB Cadillac Williams, LB Josh Hull, T Kevin Hughes, T Mark LeVoir and DE C.J. Ah You.
No surprises there, all of those players are dealing with injuries. In a bit of good news for the Rams, defensive end Chris Long is active and will start today, despite a minor ankle injury that kept him out of practice this week.
