Random Ramsdom 12/30: Happy New Year eve's eve!

First off, I want to wish you a Happy New Year! Maybe with the new year, new luck will be brought to the Rams, and no...not Andrew Luck. 2011 was a painful season for us Rams fans. First, we had to go through the lockout, which is now just an afterthought. After that, we all expected the Rams to be in the playoffs; to finally complete the turnaround and then it all blew up in our faces. Disappointment is the life of a Rams' fan recently. Here's to hoping 2012 will be the year the Rams start moving in the right direction again. On to the links.

Al Harris is retiring

According to stltoday.com, Al Harris has announced his retirement from the NFL. This is not shocking at all. He is 36 years old and just tore his ACL. What was shocking was how well he played this season. He plans to go into coaching now.

"That's what I'm going to come back to do is coach," he said. "I've got my mind made up on that. Professionally, I think I hit every single goal that I set out for myself, so now it's time to turn the page and set a new set of goals."

Best of luck Al.

Rams seek extension to avoid blackout

Also from stltoday.com, the Rams have been given a 24 hour extension to try and avoid a blackout. They have until noon today to sell out the game, but it's very unlikely that will happen. This would, shockingly, only be the first blackout of this season.

Injury Report

The mother site of SBNation had an injury update about Sam Bradford. In short, he won't play.

What should the Rams do if they get the first overall pick?

This will be covered extensively by us here at TST if the Rams do get the #1 pick, but USA Today had a nice piece about what the Rams should do. Most interesting was a poll in which 76% of voters said the Rams should just trade the pick. I though more would be inclined to take Luck and trade Sam.

That's all for today. Have a good one and GO COLTS!!! WIN SO WE CAN HAVE THE NUMBER ONE PICK!!!
