The St. Louis Rams will have quarterback Sam Bradford on the field today against the Arizona Cardinals. The team broke the news minutes ago after dropping a hint that he was likely to play earlier in the afternoon. This is Bradford's first start in two weeks.
Bradford had been dealing with a high ankle sprain, but was back to work this week. The question for the Rams now becomes a matter of preparation. Before the injury, Bradford was not playing well, along with the rest of the team. Bradford himself was struggling with blitz pickup and reading opposing defenses. Since then the Rams have upgraded their wide receivers with the addition of Brandon Lloyd, a major move to give the team a receiver that can actually play consistently. Lloyd's presence was notable last week in an upset win over the Saints.
If Bradford does have his mojo back, his accuracy and Lloyd's ability to work deep could be a deadly combination for St. Louis.
