Fantasy Football Sleepers: Rams WR Brandon Lloyd, Lance Kendricks

Suddenly, the St. Louis Rams have some relevancy in fantasy football. Playing the Arizona Cardinals today, a couple players have a real chance to standout as sleeper picks that could help you cope with injuries and bye weeks in your fantasy football league.

Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd has emerged as the team's top receiver after just two games. Really, it should come as no surprise give just how inconsistent the Rams receivers were through the first five games of the season. The Cardinals are allowing 277.6 passing yards per game, third worst in the league. Against teams' top receivers, they have a 35.6 percent DVOA, according to Football Outsiders, and allow an average of 105.2 yards per game to number one receivers. No team allows more yards on average to top receivers than the Cardinals.

Arizona has also been vulnerable to tight ends. They have the second worst DVOA versus tight ends, 50.1 percent. Per game, tight ends are averaging almost seven catches and more than 60 yards against the Cardinals. The question for the Rams is which tight end can take advantage of that.

Lance Kendricks was targeted more than any other tight end last week, three times, but caught just one pass, continuing his disappointing rookie season. Billy Bajema caught one of two passes, and Michael Hoomanawanui caught nothing.

Start Brandon Lloyd with confidence; start one of the Rams tight ends at your own risk.
