Kevin Kolb, Sam Bradford Update: Cardinals QB Unlikely To Play Vs. Rams

It could be a battle of backup quarterbacks in Arizona this week, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Kolb is dealing with a turf toe injury. He was in a walking boot, and will not practice today. If Kolb does indeed sit this week he will be replaced by backup quarterback John Skelton

Kolb's had a rough go of it this season. He's been sacked 24 times, second-most in the league, and more than even Sam Bradford who has been sacked 21 times. Kolb has eight touchdowns and eight interceptions to go with a 56.8 completion percentage and 1,706 passing yards. Arizona made headlines during the league's abbreviated period for trades and free agency. The Cardinals gave the Eagles a second-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and starting cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to acquire Kolb. Unfortunately, they forget to address a terrible offensive line.

Sam Bradford's status for this week is still up in the air, though it does at least look a little better than it did last week. Bradford did not practice yesterday, but he did do some walkthroughs. He had the walking boot removed on Monday. The Rams hope that Bradford can get back to practice later this week.

If Bradford cannot play, A.J. Feeley will make his third start for the Rams. A battle of backup quarterbacks in the NFC West...you do not want to miss this one folks.
