NFL Draft notes - late college football open thread

Well, the second round of games is just wrapping up.

The morning slate provided plenty of drama: Nebraska-Penn St., Clemson-Wake Forest, S. Carolina-Florida, W. Virginia-Cincinnati and Purdue-Ohio St. were all close games with some interesting final scores. And while Georgia, USC and Wisconsin are walking away from Auburn, Washington and Minnesota, respectively, TCU-Boise St. is still a 7-point game as I write this.

Tonight's headline game is Stanford-Oregon, providing Andrew Luck yet another marquee matchup to add to his Heisman/#1 overall pick campaign. SEC powers LSU and Alabama have a much easier week with Western Kentucky and Mississippi St., respectively. And that's about it.

To give you an idea how bad tonight's schedule is, Idaho-BYU is on ESPN2 tonight with Hawaii-Nevada on ESPNU. Hardcore draftniks only, if you please. (Also, Pacquiao Power)

So as we get through the middle tier of games and into the late sheet, drop off your observations here.

And again, apologies for the lack of a watchlist this week. I'll make up for it next week.
