St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford missed this week's win against the New Orleans Saints. It was the second week in a row that Bradford missed due to a high ankle sprain. The Rams quarterback is getting better, but his status for this week's game is still uncertain.
At today's press conference, head coach Steve Spagnuolo revealed that Bradford is out of the walking boot he had been wearing to facilitate healing in his left ankle. He has done some strength work since losing the boot. He may try and test the ankle this week. Spagnuolo sounded doubtful about whether or not Bradford would practice tomorrow as the team gets ready for a game against the Arizona Cardinals.
High ankle sprains are a difficult injury to gauge, as the Bradford saga illustrates. Many thought he would not miss any time, but now he could be potentially looking at his third week on the sidelines with the injury.
Players that expected to return to practice this week inlcude: Danario Alexander, Justin King, Brady Poppinga and Jerious Norwood.
