The Rams are playing the Dallas Cowboys this week, both teams have underachieved so far this season. This game could be used as a launching point for both of their seasons. On the Rams side, they just want to get their first win of the season. It's a long hill to climb to win the NFC West, but the chase isn't over yet.
In enters Brandon Lloyd, basically he is supposed to be the savior of the Rams offense. Why not feel excited about bringing Brandon Lloyd to the Rams? This is an offense that averages 9.8 points a game, which is the worst out of the 32 teams in the NFL.
Going into this game, Brandon Lloyd will start for the Rams. The big question is how much will he help against the Cowboys. More on that after the jump.
Honestly, it's hard for me to see a big game from Lloyd this week against the Cowboys. The Cowboys defense willt likely pay more attention to Lloyd than anyone else on the offense. Also there's a good chance that he could be catching balls from A.J. Feeley. If Sam Bradford does play, there will most likely be chemistry issues between the two.
The biggest impact Lloyd will make for the Rams this week, is his ability to be a deep threat. Teams will have to respect this and this could mean more favorable matchups for the other players. This will also help in the redzone and maybe the Rams will be able to run the ball more in the redzone, or players will get open for touchdowns.
Brandon Lloyd doesn't have to have a great stat line for the Rams offense to put up points this week, but adding him should help the Rams score more than 10 points this week, no matter who the quarterback is.
