Steven Jackson is ready to lead the St. Louis Rams offense back to relevance this week. Last year a lifeless Rams team broke out against the Washington Redskins. Washington won't be so eager to let that happen again this year.
The Rams offense needs to dig deep this week. The offensive line, a hefty investment, has been a disappointment so far, contributing to second-year QB Sam Bradford's struggles. Bradford's receivers haven't helped either. Look for the Rams to utilize more of the check down offense that fans moaned about last year. Ironic, no? That the Rams need to draw on that dink and dunk and salvage something out of their deeper passing game.
On defense, the Rams are among the league's worst. They've been burned by rookie receivers and running backs of all ages through three games so far.
More importantly, how hot does the seat get for head coach Steve Spagnuolo if they lose today? So far, he's got just 8 wins in two plus seasons.
Go Rams!
