Steven Jackson Active Today; Danny Amendola Is Out

St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson will play today. The announcement comes as no surprise, since Jackson worked a little in relief last week and practiced with the team all week. Among the inactives is running back Jerious Norwood.

Norwood is inactive in favor of Quinn Porter. The Rams coaches are disappointed in their returns from the return game. They want to see if they can get more from Porter in that department.

@TurfShowTimes Nothing. McMahon said this week he wants more out of return game. They like Porter's potential.

Norwood looks to have lost the speed that once made him a valuable complement to the Falcons' running game. Reading between the lines, this is also an indication that Jackson has his speed back for the game today. Let's hope.

Also inactive for the second week in a row is rookie WR Greg Salas. Salas struggled with the drops in his first two games.

Danny Amendola is inactive today as well. That's not a huge surprise. He did practice this week, but the Rams have been pretty clear about letting him rest and regain strength in his elbow through the bye week. The inactives this week are:

WR Amendola, CB Rod Hood, RB Jerious Norwood, LB Jabara Williams, TE Steven Spach, WR Greg Salas and DE C.J. Ah You.

The Redskins inactives include:

WR Armstrong, CB Thompson, FB Young, LB White, OL Smith, WR Hankerson, DL Scott.
