After revealing that quarterback Sam Bradford has a high ankle sprain, the St. Louis Rams had a few more bits of bad news on the injury report. There is reason to be concerned about left tackle Rodger Saffold. Saffold may have a deep bone bruise on his fibula.
Saffold will have an MRI to determine the extent of the injury he suffered in the fourth quarter against Green Bay. Jim Thomas the Post-Dispatch called it a potentially more serious injury than Bradford's high ankle sprain. For comparison's sake, high ankle sprains can often put a player on the shelf for several weeks. Rams tight end Michael Hoomanawanui missed two four-week periods last season with high ankle sprains.
Backup running back Cadillac Williams was also injured in yesterday's 24-3 loss. He has a thigh bruise, the same kind of injury that limited Steven Jackson earlier this season. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
