The Quick Five: Week 5

Getty Images

And here you thought the Quick Five was limited to Rams games? Oh, how wrong you were. Hit the jump to check out the players that made the difference for their teams in week 5...

Calvin Johnson, WR, Lions

He is, by far, the best wide receiver in the game right now. 9 TD's in 5 games? The Rams are probably hoping for that number (total offense, not just one person) through 8 games. Cris Carter is insane.

Tim Tebow, QB, Denver

Let's get this out right now: I hate him Tim Tebow. He was 4/10 on passing, looked bad under center, and is most importantly Tim Tebow. You know the new QBR stat is flawed when Tim Tebow has a higher stat than Aaron Rodgers, who straight up dominated (yet again).

Victor Cruz, WR, Giants

Right about now, I'm looking like a fantasy god because I picked him up off the waiver wire, to a tune of 20 points this week. That was more than Calvin Johnson, LeSean McCoy and Arian Foster. Schwing!

Fred Jackson, RB, Bills

In five games, he is averaging 96 yards a game, 5.3 yards per carry, and one TD per game. Let's not forget the 232 yards he's racked up in the passing game either. He's quickly becoming of feature back on one of the most surprising teams this year.

They are far and away the best team in the NFC West. The Seahawks may challenge them, but the division is already owned by the 49ers. This week's game against the Lions will tell everyone if they are for real or not.

It's hard when you are doing this for the whole league. So many players had a great week, but hey, I'm a little biased. If there is someone you think I forgot, put it up in the comments.
