Notre Dame WR Michael Floyd returning to school in 2011; Justin Blackmon returning too

The St. Louis Rams need a wide receiver for the 2011 season. However, plans to find a receiver in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft got a little shakier today with the news that Notre Dame WR Michael Floyd will return to school next year rather than go to the NFL.

Floyd was one of a handful of receivers considered, at this point anyway, to be a potential first round pick. Right now the top two WRs in the draft are A.J. Green and Julio Jones; neither are likely to be available when the Rams pick in the 14th spot.

Oklahoma State WR Justin Blackmon, another possible first rounder, will announce his decision today at a 1:30 p.m. presser. [Note by VanRam, 01/12/11 1:20 PM EST ] UPDATE: Justin Blackmon will return to school next year too.

Pitt's Jonathan Baldwin, at this point the only other potential first rounder, has already declared for the draft.
