Shurmur the favorite for Cleveland head coaching job

St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo better spend less time firing equipment managers and more time thinking about a potential replacement for his offensive coordinator, Pat Shurmur.

It was reported Sunday that Shumur is currently believed to be the favorite for the Cleveland Browns head coaching job. Cleveland still has an interview scheduled with Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell this week. Given Holmgren's offensive background and roots in the West Coast offense, it stands to reason that Shurmur could be the guy.

We've mention former Minnesota head coach and Andy Reid disciple Brad Childress as a potential candidate for the job; Chilly has Philly ties with Spagnuolo. Another candidate could be soon-to-be former MIN offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, a West Coast offense guy who's been with the Packers and Vikings since 2003.
