If the St. Louis Rams are really in on the Vincent Jackson trade talk, the conversation might be centered around a one-year deal, according to the latest reports on the situation.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen - who has been wrong before when it comes to rumors - reported today via Twitter that Jackson may have to take a one-year deal, at a paltry $6-8 million, to prove his character with another team. He also said that the Vikings are talking to him. Whatever team signs him would also agree not to franchise him.
It kind of makes you wonder if some other team, ahem, wouldn't win the day by swooping in with a multi-year offer? Risky? Sure is.
