TST Community Mock Draft: Pick 28

New, comment

Moving right along, here's Carneros for the Chargers...

With the 28th pick in the draft the San Diego Chargers select Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama.

The Chargers have a big need in the middle of the line. They need a big nose tackle at the center of their line to help with Merriman and everyone else get pressure in the passing game and help in the run game. Many would argue that running back is the biggest need. It may be, but there isn't really anyone worth taking at running back at this point in the draft. Jahvid Best is probably the best option but he is not really an every down back. I can see them going with a guy like Montario Hardesty later in the draft, but I think Cody is the best player available that fills one of the Chargers three biggest needs. I also thought about Kareem Jackson here but I think they may decide the line is more important.

VanRam: Mt. Cody is off the board.
