Bradford nominated for player and rookie of the week

Sam Bradford completed 23 of 41 passes for 289 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT, leading the St. Louis Rams to victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Something the Rams haven't done since 2004.

The nation took notice of Bradford's performance, as pundit after pundit raved about the rookie's poise and polish in just his fourth NFL regular season game. Now, he's nominated for two NFL awards.

Bradford's performance also got him nominated for the FedEx NFL Air Player of the Week. Fans can vote for Bradford to win the award through Noon EST on Friday. So go vote.

Bradford has some stiff competition this week. Denver's Kyle Orton and San Diego's Phillip Rivers are the other two finalists.

Steven Jackson didn't have the stats the three nominees for the Ground Player of the Week, like Ahmad Bradshaw, Peyton Hillis and LaDanian Tomlinson, but SJ39's guts and determination as he played through a strained groin made the Rams win possible.

Bradford is also a finalist for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week award for week 4. Fans can vote for him here.

The Rams' QB is up against Browns CB Joe Haden, Chargers RB Ryan Matthews, 49ers S Taylor Mays and Titans CB Alterraun Verner. Has to be Bradford, hands down. But I'm biased.

Can the rookie of the year be far beyond?
