Considering the showing we saw yesterday, the news today isn't going to be light. Enjoy the soothing sights of Al Davis and black and silver tonight on MNF, because that's the last you will ever see of them for a long, long time.
Starting it off, we have an article from Jim Thomas called, "Futility flashback". It's a rough day indeed. I'd like to point out a quote by a certain player:
"I just lost my cool," Incognito said. "A classic case of it. ... (There) was pushing, shoving back and forth, and I shoved him harder than he shoved me."
Speaking of Richie, Will at Ramsherd has a piece about him.
Mike Sando takes a look at the game.
Jeff at Ramsgab has a recap of the game as well. This quote by Jeff also stands out:
It’s amazing. The Rams have turned over 50% of their roster, 100% of their coaching staff and their whole front office since 2008 and yet they continue to make the same forehead-slapping mistakes as last year.
Why?
I think there is a silver lining here though; it's very tough to see I know, but this team seems like it has the ability to win (we saw it in the preseason). For some reason, it just does not translate. It's sad to see everyone in panic mode after week 1, but this next week is going to show everyone just who this team really is. Can they shrug off a embarrassing loss and get motivated? Or are they just going to play a quarter and half and then fold over and die like they always do? Time will tell.
Enjoy your Monday everyone.
