With the #15 pick in the TST draft, Houston selects...

Here's Jombari with the pick.

With the #15 pick in the draft, the Houston Texans select Everette Brown - OLB/DE - Florida State.

Paired with DeMarco Williams, the Texans could have a nice LB group...and a defense that's shaping up to be quietly impressive.I could see Utah's Sean Smith here too, given their need at Safety.

Here's his scouting report from Mocking the Draft:

Strengths: Browns is a well-put-together athlete who has an incredible burst off the line of scrimmage. Shows the perfect tools required to be an elite pass rusher. When he charges off the line, Brown displays great change-of-direction ability and has good balance. His balance allows him to get low and dip around tackles, much like Dwight Freeney, although not as fast. Due to his lower body strength, Brown can hold up well against the run and stay at end in the right scheme.

Weaknesses: Needs to get stronger, particularly in his upper body. Gets held up fairly easily by double teams or chips by the running back. Completely untested in coverage and may be a situational player until he learns how to drop back. Coaches moved Brown around to take advantage of less-talented tackles. Brown will have to prove that perception is not reality after following fellow Florida State tweeners Kamerion Wimbley and Lawrence Timmons, who have had their struggles in the NFL.

Final word: Brown is an incredibly intriguing prospect. He got better every season at Florida State and looks like he’ll continue to improve. He will have to learn a few things in the NFL to become and every-down player, but he has the tools to do so. Named an All American as a junior, where he finished with 21.5 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks.
