Okay, let's continue with the defense and try, try, to get this All-Decade stuff wrapped up by the end of the year...or shortly thereafter. Continuing with the front seven on defense, let's move to the St. Louis Rams All-Decade middle linebacker.
In the middle, we have a couple of candidates. I'm partial to the great London Fletcher who played with the Rams from '98 to '01, only two seasons of the current decade. Still, in those two seasons he was most impressive, racking up more than 200 tackles and 10 sacks. He's a beast and is still playing the game. Not bad for a guy who wasn't even drafted. 2002 first rounder Robert Thomas never worked out in the middle, and the next candidate for the list is Will Witherspoon. The amazing thing about Will Witherspoon is that even miscast at MLB, he was still pretty good, making more than 300 tackles and 11 sacks as a Ram, including a team-leading 7 sacks in 2007.
Can you count James Laurinaitis after just one season? I think so, because it's been an impressive season. So let's have a vote...
