Ah, injuries... The Rams sure could have used Steven Jackson this weekend. Even though they played a good game and taking nothing away from his replacements who did a fine job in relief, with Jackson and his ability third downs might not have been quite as troublesome as they proved to be. So, will the Rams have Steven Jackson this week when they take on the Arizona Cardinals in a game that has important implications on the division standings?
Jim Haslett told Steven Korte of the Belleville News-Democrat that Jackson "should be ready to go." That's great news. Other injury updates from Korte's report:
- DE Leonard Little has a strained hamstring and will be evaluated as the week goes on.
- DE Adam Carriker, low ankle sprain, remains questionable. I got the sense last week that Carriker was further away from returning than Jackson.
- CB Tye Hill returns this week. Ought to be interesting. Given the turnaround we've seen from other players who had such a poor start the season, I'm anxious to see how Hill responds to the changes. Hopefully, the time off helped him get his confidence back too.
- WR Drew Bennett's still a week or more away. He starts running this week. Yawn.
